The Ohaus MB92 is a next generation moisture analyzer with a 90 gram capacity and 0.001 gram readability. Its carbon fiber heating element provides faster heating and lower energy consumption compared to halogen systems. A 4.3 inch color capacitive touchscreen offers ease of use. Unlike many other moisture analyzers it features an upgraded load cell and reinforced housing for long term performance in demanding production environments.
The Ohaus MB92 determines the moisture content of a sample using the thermogravimetric method. In this method the sample is first weighed precisely then dried through controlled heating and the moisture percentage is calculated from the weight difference before and after drying. The device offers four drying profiles including standard fast ramp and step allowing the most suitable drying curve to be selected according to the sample type. It provides different shut off criteria including timed automatic free rate and manual so the balance between test duration and precision can be adjusted by the user. Password protection secures method and result data against unauthorized access. The PBT housing material and die cast aluminum base give the device durability across different environments such as laboratories and production lines.
